How do I create a new Email account?

Depending on your hosting plan, you may have between 1 and 100 POP email addresses available for your domain. Simply open up your Helm Control Panel, click on the "Domains" Icon. On the next page click on the Email Accounts icon. Enter the email address you wish to create and you are all set.

You also can create an email "alias" or "virtual" email address in the Domains section of your Control Panel. Virtual/Alias emails addresses are automatically forwarded to the address of your choice. Its a great way to track your emails from specific pages of the site.

How do I upload files to my website?

You can use the File Manager from the Helm Control Panel but the more common approach is to use some form of FTP or web publishing software. All files need to go into your wwwroot folder.

To check on or change your FTP login, click on the FTP icon from within the Domains section of your Control Panel.

How do I publish with MS FrontPage?

Login to your control panel and click through to your domain. You must click on the FrontPage icon and enable the FrontPage extensions. Note the login name and password.

Open your website in FrontPage and then simply click "publish web" from the File menu. In the dialog box type in your full domain address: Http://www.yourdomain.com. You will be asked for your login (account) name and your password. FrontPage will automatically send the content to the correct folder.

Login to your Helm Control Panel and click through to your domain. Click on the link to statistics. An At-A-Glance chart is available. For more detailed statistics please "Enable" your smarter stats. You will be able to logon from this page.

The Smarter Stats panel does require a second log in but we know you'll find the details worth the effort!

I would like a CD copy of my website and a hard copy of the data structure.

All data is available via remote access. Your developer should be able to pull down all data. We don't offer CD-creation services (unless we are the development shop), as most client data can be downloaded in the matter of minutes and burned to a CD at your location.

I'm getting too much Spam! What do I do?

The SmarterMail Spam filter is a great tool but does require some set up. After all, what's spam to you may not be to someone else. Check out our Spam Filter guide.
